Enleum – The Enlightened Purity of Music, for Ears and Years.
The name Enleum is the unity of the words ‘Enlightenment’ and ‘Eum’ (“Sound” in Korean). It embodies our constant strive to create high-end audio products that truly deliver the enlightened purity of music. Our products effortlessly and magically present music in its purest form, enabling listeners to be moved and illuminated by the power of music.
Enleum was originally established in 2009, and now we continue our path in creating award-winning audio products – equally for our sound as well as for our unique visual designs on the high-end audio scene. We are possibly the only high-end audio manufacturer in the world to have won numerous awards in various fields; including both design awards and awards from audiophile publications all around the world. We have just begun our new journey under the Enleum flag, and our new AMP-23R is already an award-winning amplifier. We are excited to share more forthcoming new products under our new brand.
OUR ORIGINS
Since 2009, we have launched a series of celebrated and awarded products elevating the technologies and designs. We’ve worked with a diverse group of professionals within research and development. Together, we created a new sound that parallels the qualities of the most high-end products by further improving on our core technology. Building on these developments, we are fortunate to have succeeded in creating loyal followers within both the high-end audio and the head-fi scenes.
OUR FOUNDER
Soo In Chae, the founder of Enleum has been passionate about music and audio since a young age. Since college, he was already immersed in compact, simple, and high-performance audios while living in his small dormitory room in Pennsylvania. Soo In Chae majored in industrial engineering and had the opportunity to work with top engineers in one of the leading nanotechnology companies. The combination of his background explains his meticulous effort to manufacture ingenious and unique designs. He is devoted to exceeding industry standards with high-quality attention to detail to both the visual and the internal components of the company’s products.
OUR LEGACY
Since the beginning, our company has always strived to put out the best efforts to produce unique and advanced products. These legacy products include: AMP-31, AMP-11R, HPA-21, AMP-51R and so on. With the AMP-13R, we reached a new phase in our technology when we created the JET Bias circuit. By 2021, our technology, design and products evolved to such a degree that it was time to start a new journey, and we are proud to take our first steps as Enleum.
OUR FUTURE
Enleum’s journey has just begun. Following the success of the AMP-23R, we now launch the new HPA-23RM headphone amplifier; the much anticipated product based on the AMP-23R and the legacy product, HPA-21. Thanks to our circuit advancements in recent years, the HPA-23RM contains the latest reference circuits and designs in a smaller form factor, yet still powerful enough to drive demanding headphones. What’s more, we have other equally exciting products forthcoming on the horizon.
AMP-11R (2011)
The AMP-11R and its successor the AMP-12R compact amplifiers were the products that globally established and strengthened the recognition of our company since its introduction in 2011. At that time, our goal was to create the smallest and highest-performing amplifier by separating the amplifier unit from the power supply unit, and employing a meticulously designed anti-vibration rack. The dedication to the minimalist concept was well portrayed in the design and circuit components of the amplifier. The product was the beginning for the company’s growth and recognition in the global market, becoming more and more well known by both audiophile experts and users.
HPA-21 (2013)
From the very beginning, we have been developing no-compromise headphone amplifiers for flagship headphones. The HPA-21 was exclusively designed for headphones, complete with a battery power supply that was specially developed at that time. The research and development from the dedicated battery power supply products, BPS-01 and BPS-02, was fully adopted into the HPA-21. Also with its unique current driving output stage, it was well-received by the headphone community and became known as one of the best headphone amplifiers in the world.
AMP-51R (2016)
The AMP-51R was the flagship amplifier, born from years of experience by experts across the field. The AMP-51R was a dream masterpiece that embodied a whole new level of technology and design. The no-compromise flagship circuits and parts, the ultra low noise power supply, the heatsinks and mechanical structure were precisely designed to ensure both beautiful aesthetics and functionality. In addition, the control circuits with OLED display, digital attenuator and automatic AC voltage detection and control circuits all represent the flagship technologies at the time. With all these achievements, the AMP-51R became the foundation for the innovative technologies of all future products.
AMP-13R (2018)
The AMP-13R was launched in 2018, with the ambition to create a world class compact audio amplifier. With all the accumulated knowledge from the flagship AMP-51R and studies in efficiency, we were able to achieve our goal. To create this unique amplifier, a completely new circuit and various thermal heatsink designs were required to adapt into such a compact and slim case design. The JET Bias Circuit was meticulously crafted into the contemporary, minimalistic design, which won the prestigious iF and Red Dot design awards for its original design.
